Product Definition

Simply put, eValGuru is a comprehensive evaluating system that can be used to conduct objective type tests such as recruitment tests, entrance examinations, competitive exams, certification tests, assessment quizzes or as an assessing tool in e-learning or market research. A highly customizable product, eValGuru is available in 4 flavors - ASP Arrangement, Lite Edition, Professional Edition and Enterprise Edition allowing you to use it on internet (website) server, intranet (LAN) server or your desktop. It allows conducting several tests simultaneously and can declare the result as soon as the test is over. It also provides a plethora of tools for the Evaluator/Candidates to analyze the performance. If hosted on a web-server, it can be used to conduct online tests globally catering to a large number of concurrent users irrespective of the geographical barriers.

• Registration through Account Activation Key. Account Activation Key is a random generated combination of characters and digits. This along with Secret Code activates an account with eValGuru. This can be created for every test. Once the candidate feeds in the A/c Activation Key and Secret Code, s/he is allowed to key in his profile into the system and thereby s/he is automatically assigned to the test for which the key was generated.   How the system is organized?

  
  Simple! For any test, there is an evaluator and a candidate. It’s on this basic premise that the system architecture is founded. Security Officer, the facilitator, creates the account for the Evaluator and Candidate. The Evaluator defines and conducts the test. The Candidate undergoes the test. Here is a short description of how the groups and menus function.
  
  
  Group Profiles
  
  There are three basic group profiles in the system. They are Security Officer, Evaluator and Candidate. Prominent amongst them is the Security Officer. It has access to all parts of the system. It’s the Security Officer who administers the system. Of course, s/he can create new groups and modify and delete existing groups (Example, if the Evaluator decides to ask a data entry operator to key in the questions in to the database, a group profile can be created exclusively to enter the data without giving the rights of an Evaluator.) Further, s/he can delegate own rights to any other group or user. Evaluator defines the test parameters, sets the questions, frames the guidelines for the test etc. Candidate takes the test, sees the results, analyses his performance and compares the result with previous test results, if any. In addition to group rights, security officer can also assign individual rights to users.
  
  
  Menus
  
  The menu system is fairly simple. It is divided in to three categories, viz: Account, Test and Technical. The first two menus are accessible to everyone. Technical menu is accessible only to Security Officer unless s/he provides it to others. The number of menu items available to a user depends upon the group/s to which s/he is a member.

Accounts

All demographic information of the users, Group Membership Allotment, Enrollment for Tests, new Group creation, new A/c Key Creation, Payment details etc are other features of this menu.

Test

Definition of tests, setting up of test parameters, maintenance of question bank, assessment (i.e taking a test), review of performance, mark-sheet etc appear in this meu.

Technical

The pure technical aspects of Distribution of Rights to a Group and Distribution of Special Rights to Users are earmarked for this menu.
